Operating Systems

Windows

Windows is the most widely used operating system for personal computers, with the broadest compatibility for software and hardware. It is a good choice if you need specific Windows-only software (such as certain business systems), play PC games, or prefer a familiar, widely supported environment.

macOS

macOS only runs on Apple's own hardware, but in return offers tight integration between hardware and software. It is a popular choice for creative work (video, design, music) and for those who already use other Apple products like the iPhone, thanks to a well-connected ecosystem.

Linux (Debian/Fedora)

Linux is free, open source, and gives you full control over the system. Debian is known for stability and is often used for servers, while Fedora tends to be more current with newer software and is popular among developers. Linux is a good choice if you want to avoid licensing costs, want maximum customisation, or work with server infrastructure.

Which one should I choose?

  • For everyday office work and broad software compatibility: Windows
  • For creative work and the Apple ecosystem: macOS
  • For development, servers, or full control without licensing costs: Linux (Debian/Fedora)
